News from Potts Camp Carter Takes Over as Potts Camp Boss Potts Camp School gets a new principal next week, but he's no stranger to the faculty and students there. Tim Carter, social studies instructor and baseball/softball coach since August 2005, replaces Ken Basil, who soon will take overas Union Co.'s superintendent of education. An experienced classroom teacher and administrator, CArter said he plans no sweeping changes. "We're a Level 4.5 school, so obviously good things are happening here. Of course, our ultimate goal is Level 5," he said. "We want to improve our (state) test scores and also we wnat to get our ACT scores up."
